The University of Alicante creates Adhtech Polymers & Adhesives Engineering S.L, his eleventh company of technological base
The University of Alicante has done reality the creation of the eleventh company of technological base participated by the academic institution through the Foundation Scientific Park of Alicante and by the researchers José Miguel Martín Martínez, chair of the UA and director of the Laboratory of Adhesion and Adhesive of the University, and the doctors in Sciences of the Materials, José Antonio Jofre Reche and Andrés Jesús Yáñez Pacios.
The act of constitution of the new EBT, Adhtech Polymers & Adhesives Engineering, has taken place this Thursday and, in addition to the partners and researchers, have been present the rector of the UA, Manuel Dovecot, in quality of president of the foundation that participates of the social capital of the company, the vice-chancellor of Investigation and Transfer of the Knowledge, Amparo Navarro, and the director of the Scientific Park, Joaquín Marhuenda.
Adhtech Polymers & Adhesives Engineering Will centre in the development of intelligent materials with properties of autorreparación and memory of form, among others, and in the adaptation and modification of these materials to apply them to all the industrial states in which his properties can contribute a value added, like the aeronautical, automotion, medicine, odontology, industries of adhesive, paintings, footwear, textile, construction or architecture.
The rector Manuel Dovecot, has stood out “the importància of the investigation in the University and his transferència to the Society. The empreses that are born fruit of the Work in the University have a value added that begins with the training, continues with the training and transforms in innovative and tangible results”
According to José Antonio Jofre «examples very concrete could be, in the car field, generate paintings that if they scrape repair alone or, in the field biomédico, implants with risk of break, as they could be the mammary prostheses, develop the capsule with our materials would avoid the risk of break and derramamiento».
The chair José Miguel Martín has explained that «the company is born from investigations that are llevar in the University of Alicante from does years related with the development of intelligent materials, in concrete of polymers that are able to repair to himself same in a very fast time and to temperature acclimatise», and on the terms of the new company has ensured that «have different companies interested in developing concrete materials for specific applications, and think that the first materials will be in the market of here to two-three years».
The chair of the UA and one of the promoters of the new EBT also has explained the aims of the company for the next years: «The main aim of the company is to develop along the five first new years technologies headed to concrete applications in fields like the car, services and possibly also in the field biomédico.»
